Doesn't the summit offer men's swimming? why would they not join the summit in this sport

I thought UND has always been in the WAC for swimming.

    Nope. They were in C-USA.

Location is less of an issue with that sport, as you don't have to compete in duals against all the other schools in the conference (SDSU competes in duals with UNI, Iowa, Nebraska, USD, UND, etc., and doesn't go to Oakland until the conference tournament, etc.)

They were never in C-USA. The conference invited them to their tournament in order to fill out the field, but they were never made an affiliate member.

Were they EVER asked to join the Summit in any sport?

Seems to me that the history is they ask the Summit for membership and either get turned down or ignored so they go someplace else. Not that there's a problem with that.

I believe this to be accurate. They actually spent the last two years in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

Are you seriously questioning the relevancy of UND swimming conference affiliation?
