    Default Summit League Rifle competition?

Just a feeler to see what you guys have going with respect to rifle competition, if anything. I am thinking it would be a good competition sport for the Summit League. Low cost, all indoors, and growing in popularity. Do you have an ROTC program which might be interested in competing? It is co-ed, so women and men compete against each other. This year, a woman from West Virginia won NCAA national title.

This sounds like something I definitely would have been interested in participating in during college. We do have ROTC, not sure if they would want to do this, but I wouldn't see why not. I am kind of questioning the indoors aspect? What if someone gets off a wild shot?

As far as I know, the competitions are all indoors. Here is West Virginia University shooting range:

Years ago, there was a 50 foot range (.22 only) in the basement of
    Bentson-Bunker Fieldhouse. (since removed)
NDSU had a Pistol and a Rifle team, open to any student. It was overseen
by the ROTC, and the ROTC students did their rifle training there.
In those days the Rifle team faired poorly, but the Pistol team had a successful run
and had some articles/pictures in the Spectrum newspaper.
Several upper level collegiate shooters were on the Bison Pistol Team.
The teams received some small funding thru Student Finance.
