They are kind of in a tough spot. They left the Summit likely because of stability and lack of desire to travel north for a conference that isn't a basketball conference and wants to become a strong football conference. Obv MVC would be best option for ORU and what they badly want...

I would be highly surprised if any rumor was true about them coming back to the SL. While the addition of Denver and the loss of UMKC is great and all but neither the SL or Southland are a multiple bid league or big time basketball conference.
