It should be 5-2 because the first two Gopher games were essentially neutral site with all the Bison fans there.

How the heck did you do it though? You've already helped me clean up the Bisonville Fan Guide database - I had a bunch of bowl games that weren't marked as being neutral sites.

Here's what I got after cleaning up the database a little:

    Holy Cross 1.000 1 0
    Texas .860 49 8
    Boise State .829 58 12
    Georgia .746 44 15
    USC .743 52 18
    Ohio State .721 44 17
    Oregon .714 45 18
    LSU .709 39 16
    TCU .700 49 21
    Oklahoma .698 44 19
    Virginia Tech .689 42 19
    Florida .673 37 18
    Alabama .672 41 20
    North Dakota State .667 6 3

With the win at Kansas State a few weeks ago, NDSU now enjoys an FBS road record of 7-3 (.700).

This moves the Bison up 5 spots* in Tony's table above passing Alabama, Florida, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, and TCU..

    SO.......SINCE 2000:

With 125 teams in FBS football and only 5 of them having better road wins vs. FBS schools on the road, the Bison have a better FBS away games record than 95% of FBS teams.**

    ***

    * Throwing out the lone Holy Cross win. Making it a 10 game minimum to be considered......why? Cuz it's my thread dammit!
** Yeah, Yeah, Yeah....goopher, jaysquawk, kitty, etc fans......your worst team ever, try a full fbs schedule and get back to me, it's your super bowl, trap games for us, blah, blah, blah.
***Mrs. TAB.......for the love of GOD it's 4:30 am. Roll over and turn off the damn light.

3 years and 2 wins later, NDSU's 9-3 FBS road record gets them to an even .750 winning percentage.

Remarkable achievement regardless of FBS opponent strength.

Strengthening the significance of this 12 game stretch, the 3 losses were by an average of 7 points.

And put another way, the only one that wasn't competitive was Iowa State in 2009, which had to be the worst year in recent Bison history. And even in that game, we weren't "blown out."

And 2 games were lost on last second field goals. Outside of our 2009 season...

Or more accurately missed/blocked last second field goal in case of MN game.
