No it would not have been wise. The seniors wanted him here to finish what they all started together. If you think that Bohl would be causing less of a problem for NDSU recruiting left to his own devices in Wyoming with nothing to do BUT recruit for the last few weeks you're wrong. If anything Bohl staying has galvanized the team, more than likely will result in a threepeat and has taken away from his ability to recruit for Wyoming, who are a much worse team than us right now and would gladly step up to the caliber of athlete at NDSU.
Now this is the law of the prairie
As old and as true as the sky
And the Bison that keep it will prosper
And the Bison that break it will die
As the creeper that girdles the tree trunk
This law is the final word:
For the strength of the Herd is the Bison
And the strength of the Bison is the Herd.

i disagree mostly. its what the majority of teams do. wheither if we would have let him walk or stay it wouldnt have changed the result on the field. but it would have lessened distractions. as we already know bohl wanted to leave

Keeping him around with access to our current players along with our future recruits has not been a good thing. Truth will come out eventually. Still can't believe the blinders some of you have for this guy.

Agree totally. Time to support the coaches who are staying and actually coaching and recruiting for ndsu's future. It's about the kids.
Everyone just relax, all right? Believe me, if there's one thing Ron Burgundy knows, it's women.

And with that Back to recruiting news. How does the new coach (sorta) announcement influence/affect recruiting.

If Hedberg is named to the staff, we will have a former NFL QB to coach QBs. We will also have a guy that is very well known in ND and MN, and who can likely take over Vigen's in-state recruiting responsibilities from Day 1.
