Most everyone should be better at power cleans than hang cleans. However, are you confusing "power cleans" with "cleans"? Big difference.

You can't really go "too low", because there is nothing wrong with basement squats(other than the fact they blow lol).

I'm assuming you are referring to the Olympic "clean and jerk"? Power cleans are from the ground up...hang are from "resting" on the knees.

I don't mind it for shrugs...but don't use for much else...unnatural movement. However, it could be used for a ballistic style bench as well. I wasn't a pitcher, but my buddy used it a lot with a specific exercise. On a flat bench, you lay head up to the bar on your back, arms over your head and throw the bar up. Seemed to work well enough...he was a starter for NDSU for 4 years I believe, so he did something right haha.

Power clean you catch it high.
