    Default Men's recruits?

Any information on the 2012 recruits for cross country/track on the men's side? Through the grape vine I've heard of a few...but I haven't seen any confirmation.

That is an interesting issue and question.

I have nothing to add as far as the rumor mill goes.

NDSU has done an excellent job historically of developing the athletes it gets. Not every athlete, not every year, but overall. Take a look at some of the best from MN, WI, even CA ... and often they do not improve much when they get to college. Take Zach Mellon of WI for example ... ran 1:48 or 1:49 in HS in MN, went to U of WI and has not run much faster. Eric Stroh on the other hand improved from 1:53 to 1:47, and he is by no means the only NDSU athlete to improve a lot. Christine (Bruins) Schmaltz, from Class B in ND improved a huge amount in hre 800 time ... way more. The javelin thrower at NDSU from Europe ... big jump this year. So there is a good chance these young guys will improve a lot once they get to NDSU. Looks like a good crop of prospects.

Jonah Warwick from Sioux falls Washington committed to NDSU last night. He ran a 48.7 400 last year as a junior. Tore his acl last week. But should be ready to go after a redshirt year.
