The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
Paul Fix.
Board was an odd situation. I don’t think he was under appreciated or overshadowed by Deluca so much as we just didn’t get to see him playing at a high level for long due to position switch. I think we only saw a short glimpse of what he is capable of and it seemed like he really came on toward end of his senior season. It’s kind of sad. To see a guy that was bench for part of his career actually turn out to be an NFL talent is something I would expect to see at Ohio St. or Bama, not an FCS school.
He looked pretty ripped last year and apparently added another 10 pounds of muscle (training camp report, take with grain of salt), so he should be able to lay the boom at the NFL level this year.

Harbaugh says Board is playing like a starter.
This is the correct take.
It's also very difficult to realize how unbelievably special MOST of our defensive players are because we perennially have a handful of Bison LEGENDS playing on our defense, who are playing with teammates who are great, not Bison Legends, whos profiles would explode on virtually any other team in the FCS
1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
3. It's time to go FBS
Board just stands out as an out of state blue collar attitude player. Stuck it out through a position change. Always gave it his all on special teams. Never was overly flashy when making big plays. I'm thrilled he's finding success at the next level.
