I read some where that the silly charges owner is spending more money to move the charges then he offered to put towards a new stadium in San Diego. Just pay for the new stadium in San Diego yourself you tight billionaire dumbass!

The Chargers are a lot like the Vikings in that they are franchises that have been way too successful to have not won a Super Bowl yet (yes, both won championship titles in the AFL/NFL days). The reason why, terrible history of management. Look at the history of both teams when either had a chance of making serious moves to help win a Super Bowl, but somehow let great talent (players and/or coaches) get away instead.

Spanos might be a billionaire, but he's in the NFL for the money only, not Championships like another billionaire, Jerry Jones. Luckily for the rest of the league, there's a salary cap and that Mr. Jones proved to be a foolish GM.

I didn't even know there was such a place. Thanks. This really stinks for San Diego. They should have built the stadium...and I can't imagine having two NFL teams in the same stadium.

They played at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. It was renovated for more seating in the outfield...and then they left for St. Louis. Not sure about the Rose Bowl though.

Outside the the five Super Bowls, I believe the Rose Bowl has not hosted an NFL game due to a lot of behind the scene politics and that it would be difficult to fill the stadium to prevent a local black-out T.V. enforcement (Spanos better not have trouble filling out a sub-30,000 stadium).
