How do tickets work for playoffs? Does the away team get an allotment? Do all ticket sales go through NDSU?

The visiting teams gets an allotment, I believe they get x amount of seats right behind the visitors bench so they aren't all relegated to the far corner like in the regular season.

NDSU handles the rest.

I think the away team gets 500 tickets, which they would sell. Last year, the area below the suite in section 16 (normally a student section) went to the visitors. The other seats were over in the corner in section 23.

I believe that there is an NCAA rule that the student section cannot be directly behind the visitor sideline during the playoffs, which is why NDSU carves out that little section for the visitors come playoff time, in addition to the usual corner banishment. This is hearsay, though, so I could just be spreading believably false rumors.

I'm pretty sure you are right. I feel sorry for the people that get stuck in 23 as they have to deal with my buddies and I the entire game...

I do hope that SDSU gets in. We all have fun with rivalries during the regular season. Yes, the game last week meant a conference title, and the mile marker. But the atmosphere for a playoff game.. would be outta this world. As much as I hate that Univ. team up north... could you imagine them having to come to the dome for a playoff game. You think ppl got "stupid loud" for the Georgia Southern game... wait till its a rivalry playoff game. Again.. also hope we dont have the bunnies first round.

I hope they get in too, but I really don't want to play a MVFC team in the playoffs. We have already gone through the gauntlet at that point and I think a conference foe would have a better shot at knocking us off in the playoffs than any other team. Now playing UND would be fun if for no other reason but the herd would put a country style a** whoopin on the nameless ones.
