I watched the game, and was really surprised at the lack of push by the Wyoming Oline compared to our strong Oline performance the year before. We are still recruiting/and or training better there. Kramer difference?

Just saying you are off by a few years...

So, let's rank OC play calling from Vigen on. I got:

    1. Mess
    2. Polasek
    3. Roehl (too early to put #2)
    4. Vigen

discuss.....(BTW, not a knock on Vigen as I think he was a good OC, recruited Wentz, and his players loved him; truth is we've simply been really good at that coaching position)

Sure beats complaining about phantom penalties in a blowout of your old rival.

The guy who started the jmu dynasty is at number 2? In all seriousness im actually glad Tyler got to witness Polasek and that they are good friends. Yes it's early but Tyler can learn from the mistakes. TP is not a bad person or position coach. Just not an OC.

And just a little side note but Matt Entz is climbing right up my favorite head coach list as well. Love the things he's saying and what the team is doing. Definitely the right hire.

Agreed for the most part. I'd either put Roehl and Polasek as even or a razor thin margin either way. I was one of the Polasek apologists on this board but even I admit that he was very mercurial as a play caller in that he had good games and bad games. Roehl hasn't had a bad day yet.

However, one big thing that Vigen didn't have the other 3 did is this guy:

I don't think I can be complimentary enough of the job he's done with the QBs since he got to NDSU. Retaining him over the coaching turnover was a big big deal (probably second only to retaining Kramer) especially considering the positive impact he could have on a young first-time OC.
