Pretty interesting thread over on AGS.

I posted in a thread about if they should leave the SoCon. I posted that I was looking forward to this OCC game with them next year and one of their posters said he had heard that their AD is trying to 'buyout' this game because they already have 2 FBS games next year (Virginia Tech and Mid Tenn State).

Well if they do I hope they don't go the way of Savannah State and not even tell UNI they dropped the game.

Maybe there is nothing to this but it would suck esp since it is so hard to find FCS teams to come up here to play.

Not again!!! I hope they don't exercise the buyout! If they do, hopefully it is a large enough sum of cash to get another FCS team to Fargo.

OH Wouldn't mind throwing a one time beatdown on them. Do you think tehbigund would make a thread about how UND is better at nearly every position than us?

I don't care if this game happens or not, I am very happy with NDSU's football schedules. I think this game will happen because its going to become more and more difficult to get teams to come to Fargo to fill our non-conference schedule.

They'd rather play Mary in an empty barn than come to Fargo without a commitment to schedule them every year.

I see no benefit to playing them fools anymore.

If we play and somehow have a huge flop and lose, it's horrid and we are the worst team in North Dakota. If we trump them and win by a lot, people will state that we didn't put enough points on the board. Or that we were supposed to win, so we didn't show anything. All in all I just dislike playing that game, their fans are obnoxious and the hate that occurs around this rivalry is bad enough.

That said, if we end up playing them, you can bet I will be there in my UND Swallows shirt.

That's their bye week - between MSU and Griz - No way they play that week. Let's see if we can get a MAC game in the dome.
