24-14 ISU Red... the Redbirds are on the move again. 6 min left 4th down possible long field goal... go for it and put the dagger in the hearts. It's 4th and 5 on the 28. A 45 yarder is not a chip shot.

Update went for it didn't make it Eastern takes over. Next play throws a pick. ISU has the ball again. 5:44 left ball on the 30. This ones almost over.

The stache is getting his ass kicked again

So right now it's possible NDSU, YSU, ISU-Red could make the FCS playoffs since they have FBS wins. UNI will probably be in the mix, and ISU-Blue as well. How many teams from our conference could make it?

Probably 3. We have to leave room for the entire CAA.

Best case scenario would probably be four. Three is far more likely. Here's what I would like to see...

NDSU goes undefeated(of course) and ends the season with a lock on the 1-seed.
    UNI beats Iowa next week.
YSU, UNI & ISUr all go 6-2 in conference with losses to NDSU and go 1-1 vs each other.

    That would leave:
    NDSU: 11-0; clear #1
YSU: 9-2; FBS win at Pitt, win vs. top-15 UNI/ISUr, losses to #1 NDSU and top-15 UNI/ISUr; probable seed
ISUr: 9-2; FBS win at EMU, win vs. top-15 UNI/YSU, losses to #1 NDSU and top-15 UNI/YSU; probable 1st round bye
UNI: 7-3; FBS win at Iowa, win vs. top-15 YSU/ISUr, losses to FBS Wisconsin, #1 NDSU and top-15 YSU/ISUr; probable 1st round because of non-DI game

ISUb could possibly replace UNI, but they lost to Indiana, played a DII Quincy, and finish their OOC slate with non-scholie Drake. Not a great SOS.

The odds look to favor UNI being left out of the playoffs imo.

I don't think UNI will win the MVFC, if they beat Iowa then they have a chance, if they lose next week.... I think they are done.

With an easier/all DI OOC schedule UNI would have made the playoffs at 8-3.
