Gold Rush: Then and Now

I think it started with the gold jeresys last year.

Reasons for the gold rush working out is likely due to the increased availabilty of Bison gear along with the fact that most fans now have a pretty good selection of both green and yellow short sleeves, long sleeves, hoodies, jackets, etc. It also doesn't hurt that the Bison have a great tailgate for showing off your latest Bison clothing and the Bison have done so well in the bigger games both home and away. Bison pride is showing!

Another observation........when I watch my DVD of the first Bison game at the Fargodome it is amazing how 99% of the fans are not wearing anything Bison or NDSU.....not even the school colors! There are all sorts of closeup views of the crowd during the game and you wouldn't know who is playing from looking at them. Lack of availability of school labeled clothing might be one reason, but another explanation could be everyone that had Bison gear for games at Dacotah Field didn't need to wear their sweatshirts and jackets in the dome.
