Based on what the reports are saying, I'd be kind of surprised if this ever goes to court.

How's this, if not true, I hope he still gets his ass canned because he's an idiot for keeping that kind of shit on a state/university owned phone or even his own private smartphone. What kind of parent would have that on video in the first place. These aren't new borns when Grandma snaps a pic of their first bath at home, these are grade school aged kids.

I first read about this story yesterday, and I was just shocked to hear it, knowing it was the head coach of probably the most prolific NSIC team. But after the new news that was presented today, I really see a big grey area thing going on here. I really think the legal definition of whether or not those videos are child porn is really up in the air. The guy never had any sexual (or apparently any physical) contact with the children involved in the video, and with the one video with the children naked, one could prove legal resonable doubt as to whether or not the video was exploitative. I have decided to withhold judgment on him until a jury makes their decision and I will accept whatever the jury says. This is really not the kind of case where the accused is "guilty until proven innocent". This is going to have to be up to a jury to decide, not just for the legal opinion/order, but for public opinion on this guy.

As a parent of kids that age I don't think he can be punished hard enough. I have no tolerance for people that abuse kids.

I do agree with due process, however. let a jury of his peers decide based on the evidence.

Just keep in mind that there's no context to the video description. Also, the info is most likely coming from police and court documents. Both the police and prosecution are going to want to make it sound as bad as possible while still staying truthful.

The thing that's tweaking my BS meter is that investigators don't seem to be finding anything else. You have to assume that they've gone through his computer by now and are going through his internet records with a fine-toothed comb. But no word of any additional charges yet. Just the videos on the cellphone. Feels weird. I jumped to conclusions with everyone else at the beginning of this. I've been doing that too much lately, so I'm going to keep an open mind until this completely plays out.

I was doing a pretty decent job of keeping an open mind about this case until I read some of the details this morning. Not sure what context can be put around any of that to make it appropriate.
