That story is a bit weird. There was video on his phone of his kids dancing around naked. There must be a lot more than that. Gotta be.
The IT people at MSU found it when trying to fix the phone.
I guess we will find out where this goes.

I hear ya...seems like there should be more to the story....In no way am I defending the actions, because I don't exactly know what he has or hasn't done, but I am quite sure most parents have taken pix or video of their kids in the bathtub at a really young age. It sounds like it was a lot more than a toddler splashing around in the tub, though. It is weird. When you hear of people in child porn cases, they usually seem to have hard drives full of stuff. Maybe he will have tons of images/videos, etc, maybe he won't, but when 'use of minors in a sexual performance and possession of child pornography' is charged it is as serious as a heart attack.
Rule #76: No excuses, play like a champion!
After reading the article in the forum today, I am withholding judgement till he gets his day in court. It just isnt passing the smell test. This one is for a jury to decide.
I've decided to wait too. I had along discussion last night with a couple that have known Todd basically forever and they are livid. I really only know Todd in passing. He has a couple brothers that are closer to my age that I've know since High School.
The story in the Mankato Free Press had more details. Apparently there were three short videos. The most damning of which showed his kids dancing around naked. Maybe not so great but also something parents have been recording for quite some time.
What is odd is that these types of collars usually come from task force activities where images are traded on the internet. Typically, the perps have tens of thousands of images on their computers and a trail of trading back and forth on websites and through email. This didn't happen that way. In the wake of the Sandusky fiasco, I'm sure there isn't a University that would hesitate a millisecond in calling the cops if there is any question. I guess it's hard to blame the University for doing what they did.
I'm hoping this is a big misunderstanding. That would limit the damage for everybody involved. If not, then I'm sure the system will take care of the proper punishment.
Based on what the reports are saying, I'd be kind of surprised if this ever goes to court.
What's the opposite of "If true, I hope he rots in jail?"
yah I am going to reserve judgement until the end as well. I hope he gets some professional help once the dusts settles so this never happens to him again...
Using MSU-Mankato issued equipment surely won't help him keep his job, then again, that's not his main concern right now.
