It sends a message to the backup players. The message got cloudy when the coaching staff kept Ojuri on the team a few years back. He broke the code within the team and got a free pass by the coaching staff. Everyone around the team that year knew it. Different rules for different players. Things do get swept under the rug by some of the coaches on the staff. Sorry tatanka, you don't have to go 70 miles north to find a program that does it.

Regardless, he was kicked off the team. I don't care if a player is an All-American starter or a redshirt freshman, if he gets kicked off the team, that's bad.*
