Very nice start. I would think a $50 million facility will be awesome. Better get started on raising the rest. Our experience is that the LAST money is the hardest to get.
anybody else getting a little tired with this guy putting his name on everything?
Yes, they even had a brief story on the local TV news a few days ago how some people around Sioux Falls are getting tired of it.
Guess NDSU just got a drop in the bucket.......hey Denny can you up your 8 mil donation to 10 mil and make it happen for NDSU? All the guy wants to do is spread his name around. Easy come easy go when you over charge bank customers for services.
Will the Summit League sell naming rights too?

I don't think this is where you're going with this, but I think 'The Sanford Conference' has a nice ring to it - especially if every school in the conference got some major upgrades. Just think of it - an entire conference named after one person. This would be a first I think.

Are people really complaining that Sanford is donating millions of dollars towards athletic facilities and other things??!! Are you serious? I doubt that USD, NDSU, or any other place that has been given money is wishing they didn't have that money. That fact is that Denny Sanford has a lot of money and has been quoted as saying that he wants to die a broke man. He loves to give money back to the communities his hospitals and clinics are in. This is a bad thing? The reason a lot of sports facilities are the beneficiaries of a lot of money is that Sanford is most often the sports medicine/training/care provider to the athletic teams that compete in those cities.
