Default SDSU's Indoor Facility - Sanford in for $10mm

    From this morning's Argus Leader:

South Dakota State on Friday took a significant step toward constructing a long-proposed indoor practice facility and human performance center, announcing two gifts totaling $18 million for the project.

Sanford Health has agreed to provide $10 million of that.
    ...

As in the case of North Dakota facilities, we have to have the money in hand to start the project but sources say that's not going to be a problem. We expect to have it completed by Fall of 2014. It'll have a 300meter track, 80-yd practice surface for football, soccer etc.; 85-ft ceiling height; seating for a little more than 1000.

nice upgrades. wish they would donate another 2 million so we can start construction for the shac. well get it.

they are a non profit so they have to donate profits

Any time members of our conference update facilities, it is a good thing. Even if it is the bunnies .

I spy an apostrophe AND a question mark in the same post! Other than that, this is pure genious.
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.

So we've got the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, the Sanford Health Athletic Complex in Fargo, the Sanford something-or-other Practice Facility in Brookings, the likely Sanford something-or-other Basketball Arena in Vermillion, and there could have been(and still might be) a Sanford something-or-other Practice Facility in Grand Forks. Did I miss anything?

I'm not complaining, I just find it funny.

Well, they don't have the big banner hanging on the Target Center this year (that was visible to everyone at the baseball games at Target Field) so they had to go elsewhere.

Is this T. Denny Sanford's private money or funds the non-profit Sanford Health organization has accrued?

If it's T. Denny's, let him set it wherever.

If it's Sanford Health having to get rid of profits because they are non-profit they are setting themselves up for the question of: "Why costs are health costs so high? Why not lower costs to patients and not have to deal with doling out the excess proceeds."

The money for all of these is coming from Sanford Health. Remember though that Denny gave Sanford Health a ton of his money.

Except for the events center in Sioux Falls; part of that money is coming from First Premier Bank and Premier Bankcard.
