Default and the new LB Coach is....

I got a text but my sources have no idea who the new coach could be. Been kind of quiet. Any names being floated around?

My wife's uncle Bill...he's behind the Hillsboro stadium push also. He'll work in both capacities.

What is the obsession with constantly bringing Bobby up as a joke around here?

Response: Because a guy who was an Academic All American, started 31 games for Craig Bohl and finished his career without using his redshirt season is not worthy of wearing the green and yellow.

I do it because I think he was a terrible coach, and really brought NDSU FB to its knees. Plus the way/manner in which he was hired was joke by all NDSU standards.

Bob I understand, he was the head football coach of a prominent football program with high expectations and is subject to criticism due to his position. No problems there.

But, why Bobby? He was a player like anybody else and he was a pretty darn good one at that. He has constantly gotten shit for being the coach's son and when he was playing I could understand it. But 7 years later, what's the obsession? I don't get it.

I don't think Jr. was that good of a player. In fact, not sure he was really qualified to even play here, and I think he got preferential treatment, but that's just what I think. My view of Jr. may be blurred by my view of Sr. tho!!

Who did he receive preferential treatment from? His Dad wasn't the coach here after his freshman year.

I think it is blurred in a big way. If Bobby wouldn't have been the coach's son he wouldn't even be brought up, was he the greatest player to ever play for NDSU? No.

He made some big plays in some big games and was the best player at his position on the team, otherwise why would he have been a 3 year starter?
