Here is what the board came up with for a building priority list for the 2013-2015 biennium:

4 - UND - $38,500,000 - Medical school addition (at least they didnt pick the $124,000,000 version!)

6 - NDSCS - $9,626,452 - Old main renovation
7 - UND - $4,350,000 - Law school renovation
8 - System wide - $10,000,000 - deferred maintenance projects (to be allocated to schools by the board)

Mayville State goes to the top of the list to renovate a gym is the top priority? Annoys me for some reason. At least were #2 but it's really sad given the state of our buildings that we don't have any other renovation projects while UND once again gets way more cash.

It's a typical Christmas tree list. Something for everyone. Well except Dickinson State. I guess they decided not to request any new buildings for all those students that don't exist.

OFFICIAL BISONVILLE SPONSOR OF:Tatanka™ brand humor. Gary Bettman's incompetence. The process of recommending a task force to recommend a process to be suggested to another task force, and of meetings called to discuss future meetings. The 21.3% of teh university students that, unlike Tatanka, are online-only, and the 15+% that never step foot in North Dakota. And hating Detroit...Proud member of TOHBTC and NDSU Team Makers.
While NDSU gets screwed over when it comes to per student funding for operations, it is nothing compared to the inequity in building expenditures.
Take that 14 million for Williston State; that's $23000 per FTE student which would be >$50000/student in the last two sessions to build stuff at a school that hasn't seen an increase in enrollment. I guess Bob "higher ed spending is out of control" Skarphol has some serious pull - more than all of Cass County's legislative delegation combined.
Lake Region wins the prize on this list. Fall of 2011 they had a total of 2,056 students. Of those 1,644 never set foot on campus. The total on campus count was 412.

To put Williston State's numbers into perspective: It would take a check for $300,000,000 to spend as much at NDSU per student as is being requested for Williston State.
