When I saw the title of this thread my stomach turned. A very sad day indeed. I'm an Ag Econ grad and Cole was my favorite instructor in the department. Very down to earth, likeable guy and always in a good mood and smiling and loved what he was doing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Very tragic loss for NDSU and we lost a beloved member of the staff.

I am also an Ag Econ grad. Cole was great teacher and researcher. Because of his encouragement and advice I went onto grad school and have never regretted it. He will definitely be missed.
