Honestly, a Summit-Horizon merger would probably be about 16 teams...

Is there any advantage to a merger especially to the Horizon? There would be the loss of an autobid between the two.

There is no benefit from the Horizon's perspective, they can already take whatever they want from the Summit.

I agree but I think it would make for a decent conference. It could ultimately happen if both conferences lose enough teams. The loss of the auto-bid may be a non-issue if either conference loses enough teams to not get an auto-bid anyway.Originally Posted by NDSUstudent
