Default Coach Hakstols Contract out of UND's Hands.

I overheard a UND Administrator talking to another person. He indicated Dave Hakstol's contract negotiation/renewal was taken out of the UND athletic departments control by the State Board.

The UND Admin would know, but where would one get another confirmation of this information?

    Total lack of institutional control.
Many thousands are in want of common necessaries; hundreds of thousands are in want of common comforts, sir."
Scrooge-"Are there no prisons?". "Plenty of prisons..."
Scrooge-"And the Union workhouses." . "Are they still in operation?". "Both very busy, sir..."
"Those who are badly off must go there."
"Many can't go there; and many would rather die."
Scrooge- "If they would rather die," "they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population."

If true, this is a terrible precedent to be setting.

I disagree. I don't think anything bad could happen having a group of UND alums controlling Coach Bohl's contract.

The inference was Hakstol had lobbied for the nickname in direct opposition to the UND Administration's attempt to retire the nickname. Apparently in the contract of UND contracted employees there is a clause that states they aren't allowed to lobby on behalf of the University without prior permission.

When he gave a public opinion, in oposition to the administration's attempt to retire the name, it was a big issue to someone.
