We are years away from football at the 1A level. *There is a huge gap between NDSU's athletic budget and the budgets in the MAC/WAC/MW. *We are talking 10 years to get from a budget of 10 million to 20 million. *Any talk sooner than that just won't happen.

Now is the time to focus in success in 1AA while enjoying 1-2 games per year against the top level. *

10 years is too long. This is the same kind of thinking that kept NDSU at DII for 15 years to long. Time for the Dakotas to be represented in DI-A. Got to think big. I say 5 more years in DI-AA max.

This weekend I was at the MOA and a store called the Custom College Shop and they had a lot of NDSU gear there.

This is funny. I live in the Twin Cities and was at a Marshalls (like a TJMAXX for those that don't know) tonight and they were selling Gopher replica jerseys made by Nike for $25. That's kind of a slap in the face when they are selling your jerseys at discount retailers at actual heavy discounts.

I agree Lakes. An annual game with the goofs would also help convert some of the naysayers about going to DI-A (FBS). The atmosphere at the Metrodome beat any other Bison game I ever attended. The Bison will beat the Gophers in 2007 and this game will be sold out. 25,000+ loud Bison fans. October can't come soon enough.

I will say again that there are no words on earth to explain the excitement and atmosphere at the dome on that saturday. it was unreal....
wa-griz had nothing on us that day and we were the visiting team. If we could bring that intensity, atmosphere, excitement, and NOISE to every home game (and minnesota) next year then we could be the loudest in FCS.

The fact that we got a player like Garrett Johnson out of a Lake Conference school (for those of you who don't know, the best athletic conference in Minnesota, featuring the Lakevilles, Eden Prairie, etc) to commit early is a testament to how big the Minnesota game was for exposure and recruting in the metro area and throughout the state.
