How frickin good are we? We just had a 2 minute highlight video that featured ONLY 1. Touchdowns and 2. Turnovers. No big hits, no big offensive plays, no field goals. It's like we only have time to show the really important stuff. I love it.

History week. The year 2000 was a shoulda won the title year. Lamar Gordon is featured big-time. Two or three quarterbacks go down in this Omaha playoff game.

BTW, the game was at their place (NDSU was playing in the FargoDome by the). While 2000 was a frustrating season, it turned out pretty well because it was the final straw that caused NDSU to go to the FCS because so many Bison fans got fed up with D2's version of regionalization and the Simple Rating System. While the FCS does a bit of the same thing, it is miles better than D2.

Good stuff! I agree that 2000 was a year that should've been. Injuries, especially to QB's were devastating in the playoffs, however, as the Herd ended up losing to Delta State in the semi's.

And, as the years have gone by, I had sort of forgotten how Gordon was so obviously playing on a much different level than anyone else on either side. You remember that he was good, but still it is rather stunning when seeing again on video. Also enjoyed his textbook tackle after the Omaha interception!!
