Re: GDT: NDSU vs LeHigh Qtr Finals
Well, we are here. Let's get over this hump and play next week. Lehigh is going to pull out all the stops today. Whether it be an onside kick at a weird time, going for it on a 4th down, try to block a kick, etc. They are going to take chances.
I noticed last week we were close to having a punt blocked. After watching the replay on espn3 last night, Voigt was sometimes 13 to 14 yards behind the line. After watching UNI/Montana and a bit of MSU/SHSU today, their punters were 14-15 yards behind the line. I think the standard is around 15 yards, unless with these new punt formations it is different. Don't know if it will matter today, we shall see.
Otherwise, we play our game, we win 31-17. Defensive backfield needs to play big even with Spadola out. Along with that, if we can pressure with just 4, it will be a good day for the good guys.
The one thing about Lehigh(besides Lum, passing game) is the intangibles they are going to carry with them today. A team loses a great player and the teammates usually rally and play above their normal level. They want to show they can with without him and tell the NCAA to stick it.
