For once, the forum wrote up a really nice article about one of our football players and what he is doing in the community.

Praise God...a discussion about one of our players.

I taught physical education at Madison before NDSU and I commend Billy for what he is doing. Madison is a very low socioeconomic neighborhood/school and having him there will inspire the kids. What I love about the story is that he isn't doing it because he was told to or even asked to. He is doing it because his brother enjoyed the experience and so he volunteered to do it as well. Billy is a class act.
This is great. I am glad the Forum finally has something positive to say about an individual player. Billy seems to have his head one straight hats off to him.
It was great to see this on the front page top fold even. My daughter had a great experience in elementary school with a Junior/Senior high girl that was her big sister. I think it does so much for both the big and the little. To see that Billy is a big brother is awesome. He will gain so much from it more than he probably expected. Good for him and it shows what quality young men we have on our team. And yes I remember a nice article on Sam a couple of months back.

I spent a Summer teaching Summer school at Madison and the kids in that neighborhood have it really tough! My hats off to Billy for what he is doing, that is something truly special for that neighborhood. Those kids deserve more things like this and hopefully this will get the ball rolling.
About Billy, my brother played amateur baseball with Billy for a Summer down in the cities. My brother said he is one of the nicest guys he has ever met. You couldn't fit a baseball helmet on the guy's head, but he could hit the ball a mile and my brother said he was always smiling and joking with everyone. Great to see such a great kid, and I am sure there are plenty others on the team, be a part of this awesome run we are on!
Cool article about Billy Turner.
