By a quick look, he is tied second on the list in pass break ups with 10, leader has 12. He has the most INTs with 7, next closest has 4 and he has 4 defensive TD's, plus the return TD with 40 tackles. Pretty stellar year.

Our sports infodepartment had better start doing there work. If Marcus is not a 1st Team All-American, heads should roll.

Politics and favortism, unfortunately, play a big role. You have to be forceful and not afraid to a call others out for P & F if it is happening--and it does all the time when it comes to this kind of stuff, All-Conference and All-American awards.

The question I always have with these awards is whether the voters see it as a "single season" award or some type of career award. Virtually all of the finalists are seniors with a few Juniors. That lends some credence to the SID's and writers focusing more on reputations and career stats.

Marcus has CB stats that put him at the top of the list for his position.

I can understand a DT or LB winning because I tend to think awards like this get skewed that way. No way should a DB win over Marcus.

Obeski and boothby had about as many tackles combined vs ndsu as mwill had ints for the year.


Guess hell have to score 3 tds vs jmu/eku. I wouldnt take any of the finalists over him.
