How much would it cost for USD or Denver to start up a non-scholarship baseball program to maintain the autobid? That way they can avoid the title IX stuff I think. I'm sure there are some students with at least some skill that would jump at the chance. Denver's air + aluminum bats would lead to some 4 hour 15-13 style games.

Not an option for USD. Title IX in SD is measured by participants & spending, not scholarships. USD is already out of compliance on both fronts. Don't know Denver's situation.

It sounds like the Atlantic Sun conference is about to take some major hits, the time might be now for the Douple to put the full court press on Northern Kentucky. They would make a great travel partner for IUPUI.

First of all, I'm not getting my hopes up for conference stability yet. However, even if we do get into a conference like this for most sports, at least our football wouldn't require BSC-type travel.
