I'm guessing it will be a Shetland pony with bad teeth and hasn't been de-wormed in 10 years. Chapo will still need a step stool to mount the pathetic steed.
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.

How about Grand Valley State or Ferris State or both? Any rumors what the Summit is going to do?

I've always thought one of the MIAA schools like NW Missouri State, Pitt State or Washburn would be looking to move up and they would be in the Summit/MVFC footprint. I'm guessing funding and facilities are a hurdle, although Washburn just completed an IPF. None of them are ideal, but beggers can't be choosers.

I've been to games in both Maryville, MO and Pittsburg, KS. Maybe not D1 towns, but neither is Macolm, IL and multiple others we've encountered in our D1 travels. KC is a D1 town but they give zero shits about UMKC.

People are spit-balling potential Summit expansion targets and it's apparent the choices at the bottom of the barrel are slim to none.

You are correct. Market size matters less for FCS/small majors. Alumni support and relation to the markets where most of their fans live are a factor. State College, PA is not a huge city either. The "market" for any team is not just the town where they are located.
