He has so much more to work with than his predecessors and is definitely trending in the wrong direction. Add on that the brand of basketball that he has thrown out there is BORING and has been since day one.

NDSU needs to be a consistently top Summit league team, do well and possibly win the league tournament, otherwise he needs to go.
Yeah should definitely be a top 2 team annually.

Pretty interesting thinking about 5 Dakota schools being DI.

Friday and Saturday night double headers would be worth it. As long as they dont bring down the quality of football. But at the very least, they would be an easy non conference game every few years if they go Pioneer

Augie is not a D1 school this is just ridiculous. They are basing a move up strictly on the donations from one, albeit large, donor. We need to be looking for a new conference. I could've went either way when the MVC talk was going on. Because it seemed like they were losing quite a bit with Wichita, but small time shit like this (potentially) is a signal to get the hell out.

Why not more talk about UMKC? They are a thousand times better than adding Augie and that isn't saying much.

Augie is an addition on the level of Chicago State, not because Augie is a garbage school but it is a simple reality that the league doesn't need another Dakota school. Especially a tiny school that will be nothing more than a parasite to the league.
NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.

I mean this isn't just all men's basketball but a number of other men and women sports if you join the Summit. Don't see that happening or the funding necessary for it.

Here's a story on UMKC and their budget struggles from March

    http://www.kcur.org/post/umkc-s-move...udget#stream/0

So does a team that averages 2k a game (10k capacity), cant afford cheerleaders, cant afford to send their radio announcers to road games and wont add to attendance really a better option than Augustana? At least Augie fans would travel to NDSU, UND, USD, SDSU, and the conference basketball tournament. It would make it better for Friday and Saturday games too.

Not saying UMKC is a bad option and it would be cool to add both teams for some more stability

Who would I rather see us play in basketball? Probably UMKC but not by much. If anything the perception they strengthen thr league is a positive.
