But Lindenwood will get the Official el Chapo thumbs-down, negatory vote because Lindenwood plays teh hockies.

The sponsored conference sports minimum is a problem now that Summit mens soccer is at just five (min: six) teams.

Baseball goes to the minimum (six) but one is BSC NoColo.

Swap Western Illinois for suburban St Louis…
No one is leaving the OVC for the Summit League. Try giving Augustana a call.

Are you gonna row the boat for football fandom?
It's OK to not be OK.

Honestly, let's just add Minnesota State and Augi and be done with it. We can then leave the conference guilt free since it will have enough members to survive.

I know you're not really serious, but please no. As an Augie fan, I have no desire to go through that mess again. It's been made clear the Summit isn't interested. If you all end up a team short in the next few years and lose the autobid though, I will find it incredibly amusing.

Northern Colorado? Can we get any MVC teams to jump if we sponsor football?

Won't miss WIU at all, pud school with ancient facilities that was the hardest school to travel to in league.
NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.

Exactly my thoughts when I heard the news. I won't miss the "Boom goes the dynamite" level of student broadcasts of their home games that we had to watch. WIU doesn't really belong in D1, so them leaving will be a positive for the Summit/MVFC in the long run.

In the short term, Fenton needs to figure out the baseball & men's soccer situation. Being at or below the minimum number of participating schools is not proving to be stable. He's got his work cut out for him this summer.
