North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.Bob Lutz, The Wichita Eagle, August 30th, 2013
How about Grand Valley State or Ferris State or both? Any rumors what the Summit is going to do?

Join the Green and the Gold Collective to take Bison football to the next level. Starts at $10 a month
The Green and The Gold Collective is excited to announce our #DriveToFive membership campaign. The goal of this campaign is to get to 500 monthly members. Reaching this goal will help us provide financial support to NDSU student athletes, including every returning member of the football team that saw action on the field last year!

I've always thought one of the MIAA schools like NW Missouri State, Pitt State or Washburn would be looking to move up and they would be in the Summit/MVFC footprint. I'm guessing funding and facilities are a hurdle, although Washburn just completed an IPF. None of them are ideal, but beggers can't be choosers.

yea time for NDSU to leave if these teams are being bantied around
NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?
Ever been to Maryville MO or Pittsburg KS? Obviously you have not, far from DI towns.
I've been to games in both Maryville, MO and Pittsburg, KS. Maybe not D1 towns, but neither is Macolm, IL and multiple others we've encountered in our D1 travels. KC is a D1 town but they give zero shits about UMKC.
People are spit-balling potential Summit expansion targets and it's apparent the choices at the bottom of the barrel are slim to none.
