Don't think Vizio has a web browser. A quick google search shows many people asking the same question.

Kind of defeats the purpose of a smart tv.

    1. Yes/No. There are many formats that a Vizio can handle. They can do Netflix, vudo, YouTube, hulu, Pandora, Amazon, facebook and others. That does account for a big chunk of the typical streaming usage for the average consumer.

    2. You get what you pay for. There's a reason Vizios are cheaper than most of their competitors. They lack many of the features of the higher priced products. Creating a web browser app for the TV(and the hardware to run it) is much more complicated than creating the simplified apps on a restrictive hardware platform. It's most definitely doable, but it cuts into the bottom line. And that's not okay for a budget line like Vizio.

I just checked LG and Samsung and they both have web browsers for almost the same price so the Visio may be going back. Thanks to everyone for the help.

It has a web browser yes. But you still can't get ESPN 3 on it.

Vizio are pretty watered down smart TVs... We have one but then I have my computer hooked up to it so it wasn't too big of deal to me anyway. But gave my kids easy access to Netflix and such.

Thanks. I was leaning to the LG if I return the Vizio.

    How old is your TV?

Pretty much my fault as I didnt research it as much as I should have. I just thought---smart TV--internet. It gets internet stuff but only what they want you to get. Well we have 90days to make a decision.
