    Agreed that HDMI is the easiest way to go, but he might not have a port on his laptop. My new laptop has one, but my old one only has a VGA port unless you use the docking station. His might be similar.

    Having an issue with my Xbox and my tv. If I use the Red/yellow/white cables, I get sound and picture. Picture doesn't quite fit tv. Cuts about an inch off the bottom. With HDMI cable, I get the correct picture but no sound. Its an older bigscreen, 1080I I believe.

    I don't have an Xbox so I'm going a bit blind with this advice, but there should be a setting somewhere to turn on digital sound. Check the bottom of this page: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-3...audio-settings It's for the 360, but the regular Xbox should be about the same(assuming you don't actually have a 360). Also this page for selecting the best video settings: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906663

    ALL FREAKING ALLLLLRIGHTTTTTT. My brand spanking NEW HDMI cables arrived yesterday. BUT I just read that Google a thing called a dongle that can plug in to the back of your TV an its WIRELESSSSSSSSSSS. )(*^%&$@$%&^(*)(*_)
