Some thoughts on other games

A few quick hitters:

Sam Houston 66-0 over Lamar. SHSU flying under radar for an 8-0 team. Are they really that good, or are they feasting on their weak conference mates like SFA did the past couple years?

Mississippi Valley State and Texas Southern were tied 2-2 in the first today.

Safeties were the rage at HBCU's today, as Hampton and Savannah State were tied 5-5 in the third quarter.

App State students rushed the field after their win today. WTF?

Minot State will be on the Longhorn Network later this year when they play @ Texas-San Antonio. Good exposure for the Beavers.

Minnesota wasn't the only Bison opponent to get win #2. STFU Red Flash wins 27-13 over Cent Conn State.

Lafayette loses to the Bison again, 39-13.

Youngstown beat WIU 56-14. The YSU QB was 8/11. Of those 8 completions, 4 were touchdowns. I think YSU gets in the playoffs.

And most importantly, 27-19!

While YSU may have a shot, they have to win either @UNI or @NDSU, as losing both they can only get to 6 wins. That loss to SDSU (at home none-the-less) is really hurting them now.

I turned the Stanford-USC game off when Luck threw a pick 6 with 3 minutes left. Turned it back on to see Stanford won in 3OT when AJ Tarpley recovered a fumble in the endzone. Wow, that was amazing. Stanford has won 16 straight.

Youngstown is having a good season! Take away the SDSU loss and some might say a great season! They will be a challange for our D! Im glad we have them at home!

I turned the Stanford-USC game off when Luck threw a pick 6 with 3 minutes left. Turned it back on to see Stanford won in 3OT when AJ Tarpley recovered a fumble in the endzone. Wow, that was amazing. Stanford has won 16 straight.

Remember when lakes said AJ Tarpley wasn't good enough to play in the Pac10 and should have come to NDSU with Grant Olson. While I would have loved to see that I think AJ is proving lakes should stick with selling advertising and not become a scout. He played a hell of a game yesterday.
