Who is to say it wouldn't be a fieldhouse in definition? They could have an arena with several attached facilities for other sports... technically would be a fieldhouse.

I wish we could get one last big donation, problem is that there's nothing else to name at the complex that's worth $10-12 million. Court naming rights could bring in maybe a million, but that's still not enough.

Unless someone rich is willing to donate only for the purpose of wanting to improve the program, I think we're gonna have to collect 1.2 million 10 dollar bills from the proletariat for the next decade or more....

Couldn't the university issue some bonds to pay for this project which has been the case for other building projects on campus? It sure would bridge the gap fast so we could start construction, the athletics department could still fundraise to help pay off the bonds.

The state board would never allow that. Bonds for construction of housing is different, since those buildings generate income to pay off the bonds.

This poll is brutal. Where is the 'Temperature control' option? Bowl shaped instead of 4 separate sections? It still amazes me that they are leaving the top section on the West side and including all of those seats in the total capacity. Please tell me I heard this wrong!!

What are you looking forward to most in the new Scheels Center?

    More chairback seats
    New courtside seating
    Improved sound and lighting
    Expanded ticket lobby/entrance
    Modern concessions/restrooms
