I thought he said it saved 12 million or a number close to that.

Do they plan on giving tours when it's done?

I see that the low ceiling philosophy has spilled over to this space as well.

When comparing the door height to the ceiling it looks to be at least 10 or 12 feet. I hope that is high enough to impress recruits. (Purple)

Those pictures remind me of "the old slanted room optical illusion" thingy.

I know that I am going to get some grief from some of you for writing this but... YEESH, those spaces are drab. The whole project lacks the big vision I would have expected for a school that presents itself as being on the front edge of our peer universities. It is really too bad that they didn't try a lot harder on this rehab project. I know that it will be much better than what we had (really not a high bar, though...) but it still could have been tremendously better for not much more money. I also think that aiming higher during design would have resulted in better design imagery which would have inspired more giving. Instead, they chose to be safe, humble and very frugal.

That isn't necessarily what I would expect from a leading institution.

Sorry to rain on everyone's parade. It just bums me out when I see people hold themselves back.
    Insert something clever here...
