    Default "steal" a win?

Both the local news casts and the forum are saying the Bison "stole" the win tonight.

I fully expected to win, we had the better team on paper and on the field. I feel that for the most part we handed it to them in their stadium...in no way do I view this W as a "stolen" victory.

Am I being over sensitive or does the local media suck that bad?

For the game to have been stolen from UM, it had to be in their possesion in the first place. Which it wasn't. Period.

Great win Bison! You know how to do it in big games like that.

Their athletic budget is over 5 times what NDSU's is, and they offer 22 more scholarships for football than NDSU does. NDSU should have been the underdog, or at least on paper.

Journalists/media people love to make plays on words. That's all this is. TCF Bank Stadium. Bank Robbery. Theft. Steal. It makes for snappy headlines. Don't read too much into it.

Minnesota is the worst team in FBS football. I expected a NDSU victory.

Interceptions are sometimes referred to as thefts, or steals! To take the ball away from the other team! Its been going on in football for years and is considered an important part of the game!!

I wouldn't be so hard on 'em WestRiver.

Good journalists are hard to find. I would give them the benefit of doubt - that is thinking that they are only barely smart enough to tie their own shoes and to come up with any cliche - let a lone the right one - as part of their work.

Scrooge-"Are there no prisons?". "Plenty of prisons..."
Scrooge-"And the Union workhouses." . "Are they still in operation?". "Both very busy, sir..."
"Those who are badly off must go there."
"Many can't go there; and many would rather die."
Scrooge- "If they would rather die," "they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population."
