When did you stop beating your wife?

It's a simple question. Just answer the question.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

That's pretty funny. I don't think it really pertains to this discussion, though. TSCF has asked a simple question that PL has answered...but always in a roundabout way. It is a matter of perspective (TSCF is on the outside looking in, and PL is in and not too worried about others).

Some general admission tailgaters will not be able to park in the tailgating lot and set up there. Does that mean they are screwed over? Many would think yes (especially if they are on the outside looking in). PL has basically answered he doesn't think so. He feels it is okay since they can park elsewhere and walk into the lot. They would not be able to set up their tailgate, though...which is the point PL really hasn't issued a real opinion on. Sure, they can visit other spots, but they won't have their own. Does that make them screwed over? For those able to get into line early enough to get a spot, no. But, for those traveling that can't get into line the night before...I would think so. "Screwed over" may be a bit harsh, but it just being "unfortunate" seems too mild. For those beating their wives past or present, I cannot answer to. For those getting beat up by their wives (I'm looking at you RTO), you should probably give your spot to those getting screwed over.

If a tailgater had passed up on a reserved spot, I would have zero sympathy for them...but I would venture to guess in most instances that is not the case. But, since the lot does not stay at max capacity through the whole season, I doubt an expanded tailgate will happen...

Our group has 4 spots. We park in two and tailgate in two. Two guys always have to walk into the spots. The GA lot was $5 a spot and now some of them will be $120 a spot for the year. Yes not a large jump in income but it is something. I believe when we first started paying for reserved spots is was $80 a year per spot. They have raised them to $120/spot and not lost anyone that mean the market has not reached it maximum yet. So you might as well turn more sports into reserved. Also if someone wants to pay $120 to just park there and walk over to friends spots , that does not bother me either. They paid for the spot. Happy Tailgating to all and look forward to seeing you this fall if not sooner.

The reason I answered in a round about way was because I knew what he was trying to do. So I basically trolled him because of his incessant rants and drama on this subject. I mean damn he didnt even get the trolling meme I posted he was so blind.

As far as me caring I have a hard time getting all upset because a very very very very small percentage of fans cant have a beer legally where they park for a football game. Oh the HUMANITY!!!!! Talk about first world problems. Not to mention this is only an issue for a couple of games a year. Again this only effects a very very very very small percentage of fans.

This is no different than most tailgating around the US as there is always some minor inconvenience for some very very very very small percentage of fans no matter what the reason.

For the past 3-4 years more people have been requesting reserved spots. TM is now making more available. Will that make people happy? Those getting the spots will be happy but those who dont wont be and some will bitch they should have made more available. It just never ends.

The bitchers dont understand that TM is their best friend. If not for them the tailgating scene wouldnt be what it is today. They keep pushing to make it better but during the process 5-6 different and separate entities have to sign off on it. When that doesnt happen the agenda moves on as there are bigger fish to fry.

So look at the big picture. Youve got 17-18k people who are having a blast. You have a couple of hundred fans who cant drink a beer legally where they park. Pretty small potatoes if you ask me. But hey thats just me.

Totally get your points. But I do have sympathy for all those that have to deal with the GA situation. I'd hate to have to get in line at whatever time the previous day to ensure a spot. That would especially suck for those travelling from out of town. Combine that with the policing policy that is enforced in a different way at random...this would make it frustrating for those individuals. I get it isn't NDSU's biggest fish to fry...but I also get the importance to those affected.

She doesn't beat me, she is re-accommodating my poor attitude. The reason she is mad is my fault, so I deserve it, every single time.

TSCF -- maybe you shouldn't be such a bandwagon fan and got the reserved spots like PL did a long time ago. Then you could point and laugh like the rest of us rich people in reserved spots, at all the po' common folk wandering around with their $300 wheeled Yeti cooler filled with $100 of beer while they wear $250 of NDSU apparel. When did you stop liking the Bison? JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION!

Will not the GA tailgate line be shorter as more people in those lines are able to get reserved spots and not have to be inconvenienced by having to line up the night before. The demand is there for the spots so they are increasing the supply, this should also decrease the demand for the GA spots and hopefully it will balance out.

I am one that will be trying to get a couple spots and I probably won't ever "tailgate" in them. We will be able to use them to open up more space as we could if needed move a vehicle over to that area. The big thing for me though is I am tired of carrying all the items we bring from the East lot over to the west lot and then get it all back to the vehicle after the game. It will be great to be able to get into the lot go and drop everything off, park and then be able to drive over and pick everything up afterwards and I am willing to overpay for 2 "parking" spots for that convenience.
