It takes most scholarship athletes 5 years to graduate. He didn't redshirt, so sitting out one year and then playing a 5th year makes a ton of sense. Plus, he wants to prove to himself somethings. Give the kid some props for wanting to play at a high level.

"I think being able to play after college is probably going to be a pretty high priority for him," he said. So to play right away is a must.
