That is awesome! Does anyone know where exactly Brost is rated in the vault? It says Carlson is 16th in the long jump. That would be outstanding if she could sneak in there and grab a place at the national meet. That would be so great for her as a senior.
From gobison:
Brost is a junior, Carlson is a senior.Brost preview
Brost will be making her third straight trip to the NCAA Indoor Championships. She placed 17th as a sophomore and 11th as a freshman. The Watertown, S.D. native is one of nine athletes to automatically qualify in the pole vault after clearing a school record height of 14-1 ¼ at the Summit League Championships. The 17 person final is let by Arkansas junior Tina Sutej, who has cleared 14-10 ¾. The pole vault is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 12.
Carlson preview
Carlson heads to the NCAA Indoor Championships for the first time. Her school record score of 4,015 points in the pentathlon is ninth in the country. Oregon’s Brianne Theisen leads the 16 athlete field with 4,507 points. Carlson will also compete in the long jump after a school record leap of 20-7 ¼ at the Summit League Championships. She is 16th of 17 competitors going into the NCAA Championships and Chantal Malone of Texas holds the top spot with a mark of 21-10. The pentathlon begins at 10 a.m. Friday, March 11 and the long jump is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. Friday.

Looks like Whitney Carlson placed 16th in the pentathalon. Had a rough 800m.

Rough day for Whitney. She jumped just over 20-1 in the long jump, but scratched two of her three jumps. Placed 12th.
Rough 800 indeed. Around 20 seconds slower than she ran at conference.
Best of luck to Leslie.
Looks like 20 seconds better in the 800m would have moved her up only one spot to 15th. (and just barely)
She's a hell of an athlete. Looking forward to the outdoor season.
Leslie missed all of her jumps and finished with no height cleared. the winner cleared over 14'7" inches
Damn... I guess it was a tough national meet for the Bison women. I think Brost no-heighted at the conference indoor last year, too. That's too bad. Best of luck to the both of them outdoors!
