Good players can make bad plays work, and Bad players can destroy a good play. Coaches coach and players play.

YAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNNNNN
Go ahead and yawn when the offense is one dimensional next year for the 4th year in a row. Remember, Vigen is to blame.
Agreed SDbison, Vigen took his own crowd out of many-a-game last year. Trap, trap, Mohler scramble, 4th down. I remember my 8 year old son asking if DJ can run around the players (meaning to the outside). That is how bad it got. An 8 year old bored with the play calling. If you CAN ram it down their throat, like we did @ Montana St., then by all means do so, but you have to try other things when it isn't working. He didn't get that for much of the year. Not a fan!
mmm this cookie is delicous.
When we can ram it down their thoats like at Montana St. and against USD I find it way more exciting than a crazy spread offense. I don't really get that bored with the offense, I just wish that it was more efficent.
I think the entire offensive staff is at fault and also the players. Vigen definatly could call better plays, don't get me wrong, but the line could also be better and not let the holes close up, and the backs could cut-back more times. Some of DJ's best runs were when he cut back the coaches need to let him no that if nothing is there he can cut-back and they need to make sure he sees the cut-back lanes.
Most of the blame is on Vigen for not having his staff and the entire offense on the same page, but its not all on him.
I would agree with all that also. The line needs to open the door. But blocking is hard with 8 men in the box.

While I don't disagree that the offense has been in a slide since Walker graduated, technically Vigen can only be blamed for the past two years, so "next" year with be his third year. Perles left after the 2008 season, Merten's first as QB. I am not a big fan of Vigen, but I don't think he can be blamed for more than his fair share.
