Some say it's a backward place. Narrow minds on a narrow way, but I make it a point to say. That that's where I come from.

We can waste a $100k promoting a sub that will never be in ND but we can't find any money for centers of excellence that have had a positive impact on our state economy and universities.
http://www.inforum.com/event/article...roup/homepage/BISMARCK — North Dakota Democrats say a newly crafted budget for the state Commerce Department includes spending earmarks that haven't had a public hearing.
The plan includes $100,000 to promote a new Navy submarine that's named for North Dakota. It has more than $4 million to monitor possible federal proposals affecting North Dakota's two U.S. Air Force bases.
The budget no longer has $13 million for "centers of excellence" grants for colleges. Almost $5 million for child care worker aid has been restored
To quote lakes, what a joke almost every member of the house is...
http://www.ndsu.edu/research/industr...ons/ndcoe.htmlAs of June 30, 2010, $26.2 million in state funds has been spent with $406.5 million in estimated total economic impact to North Dakota's economy. Eighteen Centers have been approved statewide and have helped attract funds to North Dakota's campuses for public-sector and private-sector projects dealing with renewable fuels development, energy workforce training and technology, aerospace, electronics, advanced manufacturing and other technical research and development areas.
NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.
Nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to Carlson and his faithful band of morons in the ND house. But I still need to vent about it.
NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.
