Anyone have an idea as to how much the rain will affect the river levels/flood potential?

It is supposed to just keep the water high for a longer duration!

It should be minimal as far as level. As unbison stated it may prolong the duration.

I'm no meteorological mind, but SOME rain actually falls directly into the river.....so don't minimalize it too much..

When this weeks predictions for the crest were released, they included up to 1.5" of possible rain for this weekend.

just saw some video on CNN north of Fargo, 6 inches of water on I29. I had a friend coming back from GF a few hours ago and he had to back road it all the way back because of the water on I29. highland park north of town is not accessible by land anymore, I'm sure north river isn't either.
