The article said "A middle school here must drop its bison mascot, due to a state law banning public schools from using nicknames, logos or mascots that are tied to Native Americans." With this logic, pretty much everything in North America is tied to natives. So the obvious ones like Bison, Wolves, Coyotes, Jackrabbits, Eagles, Hawks, Snakes, Salmon, Bears, Cats (all derivatives of it) are all now off-limits. How about these?

The NDSU Computers -- can't use that, there is a database out there that contains a list of natives that have been screwed by the federal gubmint. That is sacred information.

The NDSU Automobiles -- can't use that, some of the raw materials used in making automobiles come from lands that were once wholly occupied by natives.

The NDSU Bankers -- can't use that, it's offensive. There were bankers that were in bed with the federal gubmint taking land from the natives.

The NDSU Telephones -- nope, offensive. Alexander Graham Bell was born in Scotland. The Scots were prominent settlers in the early days of this country, displacing native communities when they settled in the US. Way out of bounds.

And speaking of Scotland - NDSU has a Tartan plaid. We all know that originated in Scotland. Call me crazy but if my memory serves, our Tartan plaid is registered through some Tartan Registry in Scotland. That's gotta go. Fold up shop everyone.

Animals are OFF-LIMITS from changing mascots. They have no say in the matter. My God. We will be left with mascots like "Jazz", "Trojans" and "Tornados" and "Cowboys". "Wild." "Huskers." And whatever BYU's mascot is. Stanford's mascot is the "Tree." And even that may be tied to Native Americans.

Playing devil's advocate to stay a step ahead of wokeism...
Jazz could be considered black people's music, better get their permission.
Trojans could be viewed as promoting birth control. Certain religions may not approve.
Cowboys is the antithesis of indians and we know where that leads.
Wild could be viewed as describing a tribe or worse, a race. Nope.
If "Huskers" is ok, shouldn't "Cotton Pickers" also be acceptable?
The whole thing is a giant worm hole that should frankly be ignored. If someone decides that they are offended....so be it.

It ends when we unilaterally say Woke is officially over. Which probably means there is no end.

Relevant video regarding wokeism. Feel free to ignore the remainder of it.

Who said I was shocked??? I just called it bullshit. Some time ago they were trying to pull this shit with the bison mascot and it went no where.

Oh check out the shit going on with the state flag.
