Default Crowd rule changes for NCAA playoff games game

As I arrived at my seats for the game on Sat I was asked to remove my hat because it violated NCAA rules.

I looked over and my brother that walked in about 5 minute before me was sitting there without his hat as well, same lady stopped him.

You can see the hats in quesiton in my sig line(Coors and Coors Light hats)

I don't have a problem with it although I thinks it's silly. I am wondering if anyone else had a similar experience and I also wonder that if I had a baseball cap on with a huge Coors logo, or a Budweiser shirt would I have been asked to remove it?

Same reason why the Fargodome had to cover up all the Shooting Star Casino wordage (SE corner of the Dome): NCAA rules...

This was a directive of the NCAA, not the Dome.

Yeah, alcohol and gambling are two big no-no's for the NCAA.

It did take me by surprise but I did understand that it was the NCAA and not NDSU or the Dome. I didn't have a problem with it, just had to sort of laugh.

Am I the only one who DID NOT MISS hearing about the "Gate City Bank No ATM Fees/WDAY/Cloverdale Hot Dog First Downs" on the PA at the RMU game???? He can keep the "How 'bout that Bison defense!" line, but I didn't realize how irritating all the ads were until they were gone.

Actually they can stop the-how bout that bison defense and the first down crap. I dont need to be told that and from the looks of the last game nobody else in the crowd does either.
