Battle of the kickers, including the punters, and the defense. We have to win those 2 phases to win. I have no reason to believe our offense will do a 180 and actually put up at least 180 yards.
Rule #76: No excuses, play like a champion!
I still think the whole "line-up-Eaves-to-blast-punt-returner-in-hopes-of-recovering-a-fumble-in-position-for-an-easy-FG-or-TD" offensive gameplan might be a valid strategy here. Eaves and Heagle on punt coverage, dude catches the ball, BLAMO! Easy pickup into the endzone.

My son, home for Thanksgiving, says:
NDSU 20
RMU 10
I say:
NDSU 2
RMU 0
My faith obviously lies with Hazelton's defense and not with Vigen's offense, especially against a 3-4.
Bison make a statement. O-line totally dominates them. Our defense is by far the best they will have played against. A 30 or whatever scholly team does not come into the FFD and win.
Bison roll them up.
38-3
Seems like if you expect a low-scoring game, you get a high-scoring game (and vice versa) so...
Score:
NDSU 79
Robert Morris 77
Highlights:
Take it to the bank!
- 17 Overtimes
- 2000 total yards of offense with RMU having a slight edge in total yards (1200 vs 800)
- NDSU does not convert the 2-point try on their last TD, RMU scores a TD to tie, but the Bison win when Gratzek scoops up the RMU RB and carries him all the way to the Bison endzone before spiking him*.
* Forward progress, schmorward progress... I'm a prognosticator not a rule book.
