A really good analysis and a great perspective. Thanks for looking this stuff up.
The only flaw, this offense has only scored a total of 23 touchdowns, a little over 2 a game. You think they are going to score 3X their average in a single game, with either a severely banged up QB running the O or an inexerienced one. I can't wrap my head around that being even remotely possible.
Lost in your analysis is that RMU allows 18.3 pts per game, Bison allow 16.6. They give up 100 yds rushing per game, Bison give up 171. Yards allowed passing are a wash between the two teams. RMU has a solid defense and the Bison offense has made dreadful defenses look superb, all you have to do is look at the last game to find evidence of that.
I am not going to buy into the disparity between "us" and "them". If I did, then I would have to agree with the myoptic view of Ohio State's President who just lambasted TCU and Boise State for not being worthy of playing for the national championship. Until the Bison prove to me they can score points, I personally don't see outlandish predictions of the Bison scoring >30 pts/gm as being remotely feasible. Your prediction of 45 is just way over the top, with all due respect. The Bison go from 0 to 45 in seven days? Wow....that would be Superman impressive.
But, I sure as hell hope you are right
